How to Make a Powerful Protein Shake at Home

You probably know this already, Http:// but protein shakes provide us bodybuilders with a massive amount of the protein/nutrients our bodies need to repair and grow muscles.

Just taking the bog-standard shakes can get a bit boring after a while – especially if you’ve not managed to find one of the best ones on the market.

That’s why it’s important to vary how you take your shake – whether it’s just using the whey powder and milk, or whether it’s creating a powerful shake with other ingredients added in.

Here’s how I make my powerful protein shakes:

I use a high-quality protein powder – I always make sure I’m using one of the best protein shakes on the market. The reason I only use the very best shakes is because you’ve simply got to get your nutrients and as much protein as you possibly can do. There’s no point wasting your money on a cheap shake with no nutritional value. Cheap protein shakes don’t digest well, and they will taste pretty awful.

I use frozen fruit – I always blend in some frozen fruit with my shake to make sure I’m getting the right nutrients/vitamins my body needs to repair my muscles after I work out. I love to make a tropical shake with strawberry protein powder – simply because you can add bananas, pineapple, oranges and all sorts of fruit to the blender!

I use whole foods – Don’t be afraid to add peanut butter or almonds, for example, to the blender – they’ll add more flavour and will pack even more protein into your powerful shake. I love to add peanut butter every time I have chocolate whey powder.

If using all of the above, use water – If you’re adding fruit and whole foods to the mix, you’re not going to need milk, as it could just leave you feeling bloated. Just use water – the fruit, powder and whole foods will thicken your shake up. You can even just use crushed ice and a little bit of water if you prefer – a perfect powerful protein shake for a hot summer’s day!
